AGENCY ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Lee Group is looking for an Account Executive who is eager to learn and ready to make a difference as part of an experienced team at an agency that is undergoing significant growth.

This individual will work in the fast-paced world of Account Service and will assist the Account Director in handling multiple clients across different industries.

The Account Executive will be responsible for assisting the Account Director on assigned accounts to ensure excellent client service, effective project management and impeccable quality control, ensuring on-time delivery and accuracy for all assigned client projects.

She/he will be charged with learning everything possible about the assigned clients, their related markets, and industries.

Other roles and responsibilities for this position include taking excellent notes during meetings, creating, managing, and executing weekly status reports, assisting in the development of project briefs, creating estimates and budgets and proofing of all communications and deliverables to ensure accuracy. After receiving full training, this individual will also assist in supporting the billing function for designated client accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 ACCOUNT SERVICE

  • Support/Work closely with Account Director to stay abreast of all aspects of the client’s account
  • Works directly with client when fully trained, utilizing product knowledge and research to determine advertising goals and budget limitations
  • Confers with Account Director and other agency team members to develop campaign strategy
  • Develops project and/or creative briefs and project estimates
  • Consults with traditional and digital directors to guide media selection and determine timing and placement of materials and estimated costs
  • Submits campaign proposals, suggested concepts, and estimated budgets to client after approved by Account Director
  • Provides direction and input to staff to carry out the client- approved advertising deliverables and campaigns within the prescribed budget and time limitation
  • Provides effective proofreading of all deliverables
  • Provides new business development assistance, as needed
  • Supports the Account Director in meeting revenue goals

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Opens jobs and assigns task in project management program for assigned clients

  • Organizes project kick-off meetings and records notes in Asana via deadlines and tasks
  • Prints and assembles monthly billing worksheets for Account Director and assists in completing client billing grids
  • Relays information from Account Director to creative team members regarding ongoing projects (i.e., clarification from client, timeline change, edits to creative, etc.)
  • Circulates internal proofs and printer proofs to Account Director and creative directors for review/approval
  • Assists Account Director in meeting preparation, developing agendas, and preparing facilities for onsite guests and meetings
  • Works with EVP of Creative in assigning creative team members to assigned client tasks and projects based on ongoing assessment of workflow/resources
  • Conducts frequent check-in sessions with creative team members on assigned projects to determine if projects are on track or projects need to be re-assigned
  • Advises Account Director on timeline for projects depending on creative team members’ schedules/workloads
  • Works with Account Director and creative team to secure estimates from production manager, creative leads, or vendors, and to send finished items to Account Director for
  • Reviews creative team members’ task lists in Asana to ensure all assigned client projects are delivered on schedule

Overall

  • Participates in setting revenue goals
  • Contributes to overall production and quality control standards, assists in the development of budgets and cost controls
  • Assists in refining and implementing agency processes and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality while working closely with clients, Account Directors, other key staff members of TLG and vendors about all aspects of client campaigns and proprietary agency information

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or Communications

  • Minimum two (2) years direct experience in marketing and advertising
  • Minimum two (2) years agency account coordination/management experience
  • Day-to-day client management experience
  • Established record of accomplishing successful results for clients
  • Track record of developing and selling effective strategies
  • Experience conducting needs analysis and developing recommendations
  • Experience writing and presenting proposals to clients
  • Ability to write clear, concise, compelling creative briefs
  • Background with financial and healthcare clients is a plus
